The DOLL HOUSE Suite
“Go back in time in this historic suite.”
The Doll House Suite
“Oh, they were like sunshine, pouring upon things still immature and hard by reason of their greenness. other tenants came and went, leaving no print of themselves behind that happy couple left the memory of their joyousness in every corner when after they were gone, I went to the dolls house emptiness I felt their laughing warmth still there”
The self-contained suite is bright and sunny—a charming corner of the house—located upstairs through the original main entrance from the veranda, exterior stairs, and backyard.
The Dollhouse entrance opens into the original kitchen area, complete with all the amenities you’ll need to enjoy your stay. The main sleeping room and kitchen offer west-facing views over the purple Sooke Hills and glowing sunsets.
Evidence of the tiny Dollhouse—and the even smaller maid’s room off the kitchen—remains. These spaces now accommodate a queen bed and modern amenities, filled with sunshine and, on occasion, the gentle sound of horses coming up the street.
With original features still intact, the accommodation will take you back in time. Emily’s art studio across the hall remains much as she left it, with her original colours and chosen paints still present throughout the building.
In the attic, her paintings and comforts left behind create a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
No smoking and no pets are allowed. This suite has stairs and is not handicap accessible.
